LR comes pretty close to Fuji colors on the sims, but it was terrible for Pentax. I don't have experience with NEFs, but my brother absolutely loved it for Nikon; he has more recently switched to m4/3rds - Panasonic. Haven't asked if he still is as enthusiastic.

Lightroom is awful for M43. I've had to spend extensive time making custom profiles for my G85 and my Inspire 2 drone just to even get something in the same universe as what I see on the camera preview.

Odd you didn't like it for Pentax though. I had a KS2 and K3ii, and never seemed to have an issue. Especially since Pentax uses very vanilla Sony sensors.

100% it's obvious Adobe has put the vast majority of its raw conversion work into Nikon and Canon - but given the brand popularity that's not too surprising.

In Pentax, LR shadows almost always went to magenta shift that was difficult to correct. It was especially evident in dealing with low light (limited DR). Was less apparent with CCD - istD, but really a problem on the 20D, K30, K-1 and K-3. Fuji was a bit better, but not quite as good as Capture One - even before Fuji started sharing the sim recipes with C1. For Canon, I was in and out of LR and C1 in equal measure for the 20D and 5D. I must really love cameras with the 20D designation because I have all three - Canon, Pentax and Fuji.
