Good responses. I admit it has been about 4 years since I worked extensively with LR (pretty much around when they went to all subscription, not that that was the entire reason). I do think most of the improvements you are mentioning are convenience oriented (but substantial). My biggest issue is with reliance on sliders for color accuracy. For me, it makes it difficult to nail color balance. I'm much more comfortable with color wheels (having used Picture Window Pro for most finishing for at least a dozen years).

LR comes pretty close to Fuji colors on the sims, but it was terrible for Pentax. I don't have experience with NEFs, but my brother absolutely loved it for Nikon; he has more recently switched to m4/3rds - Panasonic. Haven't asked if he still is as enthusiastic.

Lightroom is awful for M43. I've had to spend extensive time making custom profiles for my G85 and my Inspire 2 drone just to even get something in the same universe as what I see on the camera preview.

Odd you didn't like it for Pentax though. I had a KS2 and K3ii, and never seemed to have an issue. Especially since Pentax uses very vanilla Sony sensors.

100% it's obvious Adobe has put the vast majority of its raw conversion work into Nikon and Canon - but given the brand popularity that's not too surprising.
