Does Fuji Have a Problem with card corruption?

I owned canon point and shoots in the early 2000's which corrupted cards if you accidentally turned the camera off before it finished it's slow write to card.  I then owned Nikon for over 15 years and had 2 card failures, likely due to the card.
I've been in the Fuji camp about 4 years and it seems I get frequent card corruptions.  I haven't kept a log, so can't put a number on it but the most recent was today - at London Marathon with a sandisk card.   I wasn't turning the camera off or interrupting write.
My perception is there is a problem with Fuji (X-T30, latest firmware).   Is that right or am I just unlucky?
Im just beginning the process of trying to recovery the data from the corrupted card and will probably throw away all my SD cards and replace them.
FWIW, after import, I usually format the SD cards in camera
