Quality pocketable camera for low light interiors?

Pretty happy with my Pentax DSLR and limited lenses, but its a bulky thing (esp with battery grip) that mostly gets used on tripod for considered picture taking, portrait work etc. Its no fun to pop in a pocket (like it would fit!) so I find I don't take it out much.

Because I rarely enter the kit market these days, so need some guidance as to the good stuff out there, no particular brand bias for this purchase, but I do like rangefinder style aesthetic of, for example, Fujifilm X-Pro2 etc.

Looking for a companion camera, something "reasonably" pocketable and decently capable - the most demanding shooting would likely be low light interior spaces, so decent ISO range / noise control important.

Could live with a fixed focal length but something that went as wide as 24mm equiv would be needed for interiors (a 35mm equiv isn't wide enough).

Since I now need reading glasses using menus is a real issue, so Ideally there will be proper external controls, possibly even a proper viewfinder.

Pretty flexible on budget, under £1000 would be nice. Don't mind fixed lens, mirror-less, compact, even second hand - so long as it does the job

Fujifilm X-Pro2
