All good info there but I’ll add this:

Don't worry if the entire background is not white. You only need the area right outside the model to be pure white. In post you can simply paint in white with the Paintbrush. 255. 255, 255 is 255, 255, 255. No matter how you get it.

An easier way is to open the image in the current versions of Lightroom Classic and use the mask tool (the dashed circle at the top of the Develop tool menu. Choose “Subject” and then invert the selection to choose the background. Now drag the saturation slider to zero. You might then need to adjust the highlight, white, or exposure slider to make the background white. Now click the “Done” button to close the mask.

What?  I gotta learn LR now?  lol. To be honest I mostly shoot now and do very little post processing.   Did a ton of that a few years back.  Before LR.

Yeah, probably easier but I haven't taken the time to master LR.  I did notice you can do this in Bridge as well so I may use it next time I need to.  Thanks for the heads up.

But it does allude to what I said.  And not to worry too much about not lighting the entire background visible in the frame.  And probably safer.  All that extra light can cause flare and mess with the contrast of the subject.
