Yes, definitely.

A snap shot with a rifle or pistol is one taken quickly, without careful aiming. It would be a likely technique when hunting rabbits for the pot. The analogy with hand-held small cameras is obvious.


Sure, the analogy is obvious. But I never heard "I shoot people" and "I shoot Nikon" in the UK until the YouTube era, as far as I recall.
