That took a lot of work and I think you did a great job trying to provide useful information while minimizing variables.

I have X-Trans I, II and III (E1, E2s and E3) I started with the E3, got the E2s since I like shooting with two cameras and bought the E1 to see what all the hype was about regarding X-Trans I.

X-Trans I has obtained a cult status. Opinions run from no discernable image difference compared to newer sensors to folks claiming a huge and positive difference. My personal experience born out of use and not formal testing falls somewhere between, closer to subtle difference compared to huge difference.

Informal testing shows that I can make RAW images from any of them pretty much match.  I wouldn't hesitate to shoot a wedding using all three and then matching images to make a cohesive presentation. I do perceive a subtle difference in JPEGS shot with the same settings.

I got my E1 and E2s in excellent condition at a bargain price.  I'm glad I have them.  Prices have gone crazy.  Used X-E4s are selling for what I paid for a new gripped H1. E1s, Pro1s, E2 and Pro2 are selling for more than the discontinued E3 was selling for new. It's hard to find any X-E cameras for sale.  I did find an E1 at KEH for $350 in excellent condition, but that's pretty much it.
