My first dealings with Jessops was a mail-order slide projector in the mid 1970s. The speed of delivery was way better than other suppliers.

Then the occasional visit to the Hinckley Road store in the late 1970s / early 1980s as a detour on way to in-laws. A short break in an earthly paradise with wife and kids waiting in car outside...  And come away with the latest price list. Hours of fun with a magnifying glass.

But it was more than just a camera shop. They had a guy called Bob Moore who ran photographic workshops on Saturdays at the Leicester site. He also gave talks to camera clubs. I remember seeing him about 15 years ago.
