OM-1 HHHR underwhelming
2

When a sensor with 25% more pixels comes out, it's met with rapturous applause and the results are usually obvious.  The HHHR mode of the OM-1 promises an effective pixel increase of more than double, yet I'm underwhelmed with the result.  Yes, I know I can use the smarts of OM WS to get the most out of the 50MP image, but I could just as well apply the wizardry of DxO or Topaz to the 20MP image.  I'm comparing like for like, a straight 20MP raw and a straight 50MP HHHR raw in LR with no adjustments.  It's rather disappointing.  Why am I not seeing the benefit of this relatively massive increase in MPs?
