Topaz PAI and Capture One

My 'new' workflow for previously scanned images as TIFF is:

  1. In Capture One: check the White Balance and auto adjust the exposure and levels
  2. Use Edit for Topaz -- standard parameters, no adjustments. Mostly noise removal.
  3. Export resulting TIFF (in C1) as JPG

So far, so good.

By chance, I decided to check on the resulted TIFF:

  1. White balance: auto balance reports a difference of +/- 500 K
  2. Auto Adjust (after White balance): new levels, but little exposure change

The corrected TIFF DOES look better. Overall, from the original to new 'two' pass process, the results are really impressive.

My wife, in Arizona, 1998.

After a two-step process

My questions: Is the removal of noise changed the white balance and,
did that also changed some levels in the 'noise' color removed.

The differences are NOT that extreme but will give a more pleasant image.

I ran TPA on 200+ images and cannot failed to be impressed. A few miss...
