Bird-detect catches DiF
17

At the far-end of a fairly isolated spot where I often see osprey, anhinga, egrets, and alligators, I was being persistently tracked by this critter.  Most of the time it was moving far too fast for me to have any chance of getting a shot.  Every now and then, it would stop and hover for about 5 to 15 seconds.

I had to shoot wider than I'd like just have a chance of getting and keeping a bead on it.  The detection didn't always pick it up, but it raised the odds of me getting any focused shots from near-zero to above 50%.

Nothing award-winning by any stretch, but a very pleasant reminder of an interesting interaction with nature.

Heavy crop and pretty noisy.

Again, big crop and too much noise.
