Olympus 60mm macro with extension tubes... and the TCx2?

Hi all! Hope this post finds you well.

I've recently acquired a "macro" kit from a fellow Belgian enthusiast.

Included in the kit, a.o.: the Olympus TCx2 and the Kenko extension tubes (10+16).

In my experience however, they don't quite fit together. I didn't try to force it, but the extension tubes seem slightly too small for the TC to fit in. Evidently, the previous owner didn't have the same remorse, as the rubber ring at the end of the TC seemed a little "worn" off. I'm not super keen to do the same to be honest.

Would any of you please share with me/us a combination that works without having to peel off a bit of rubber from the extension tubes?

I can see the following tubes available on KameraExpress: Commlite, Caruba, Meike and B.I.G. Any experience with any of these?

The Pixco tubes appear to fit, but need to be procured directly from China it would seem.

Thank you for your help!
