Great Tip if the Automatic Display Switching on your Z stops working
5

Maybe everyone already knows this already, sorry if that is the case. If not - this is a hugely helpful tip. Mine has stopped working on my Z7II for a couple of months and it's been driving me crazy. I just did a 'net search and came across this YouTube by J. Whyte titled "Fixing the Auto Display Switching Malfunction on Nikon Z"

Basically there is a tiny sensor at the top of the EVF and if dust gets in that little opening the automatic display switching will not work. I just used a blower and - voila - in mere seconds for the whole procedure it is working again. Here's the link to the YouTube
