The DP3M does a good job of copying printed pictures from books etc.

For these I used a copy stand , and window light. For a more serious setup I would use a pair of studio flashes that I've had for many years.

There is a Photoshop plugin called Sattva Descreen, which also works on Affinity Photo, and does a very good job of removing the half-tone printing dots.

The drawings are by Sydney R Jones, from his excellent book "England South". The one of Selborne shows how much more depth of field you can get in a drawing than in a photograph.

The fp is also good for copy work, with a suitable macro lens such as the 55mm Micro-Nikkor.
