DXO PL vs. Silkypix Developer Studio (vice versa)

After hearing a lot of positive reactions over the years on Silkypix Developer Studio Pro, I started to go with a trial of that japanese software; version 11.

My goal was to treat my EOS M5 Raws as I treat 'em in Photolab. No great effort: Develop, Lens profile, some contrast enhancement if necessary, scale to 1600 to x pixel, slight sharpen. Export. Done.

I knew that menu/handling of Silkypix was different from what I was used to. No problem at all, have to learn that.

I gave up because of stumbling on 2 very easy actions:

1. NO lens profile for EF-S 18-55, 4.0-5.6 IS STM, - one of the widespread bundle lenses for Canon.

2. Had to balance WB on right and left part of picture on a couple of shoots - necessary to see any numbers of Kelvin and tint --> not possible with Silkypix.

kind regards- G.
