ST-E3-RT or Yongnuo YN-E3-RTII + receiver

Hi Gang,

I've got a Canon 600 EX II-RT and a 430III RT. I've also got several old 550EX guns and several full manual flashes. I've only used them off camera in full manual mode with my older radio triggers (Cactus V5).  Getting the itch to do some portrait work again after not doing much of it for a few years.

I'd like to get a RT compatible transmitter. The Canon ST-E3-RT was my first choice, but it's limited to just using my RT flashes. I see this Yongnuo v2 is basically the same device but also adds their own receiver that can let me wirelessly control my 550EX flashes too in the setup. At least I assume it will work with these older flashes? They are ETTL-II so I'm assuming so? Even if I only get manual control, that's OK too. As long as I have at least manual control from the camera.  The two RT flashes will obviously be my primaries.

This is a big plus in my book for the Yongnuo setup.  Will the Yongnuo work as I'm describing it?  Everything I'm reading about them it appears it should, but thought I'd ask the knowledgeable folks here first.
