Focus stacking - question about file

I do most of my processing in Lightroom, but focus stack in Photoshop.  Once I have focus stacked a series of images, is is possible to figure out which images have gone into the final file after the fact?

For example say I have images of the same thing named 1-10, and I only use 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 for focus stacking.  This results in an image named 1.tiff.  Is there some place to look up what images compromise 1.tiff later on?

Also, how does Photoshop decide on which image to use for the name of the new file?  I've noticed it is always the number that corresponds to one of the images that goes into it, but it isn't always the first one.

Thanks!
