I like half cases on my M bodies, and found this one listed for the Q2:

Does anyone have experience with this one? I don’t care for the design of the Lim’s, and prefer a case that attaches to the tripod screw like this instead of one that has leather tabs surrounding the strap lugs. I have similar M cases with the small leather finger bump and prefer them.
My one concern is that it has clearance for a Leica thumbrest. Has anyone tried this combination?
Ken,
I have that exact case in black with the lens cover. It is well made and fits the Q2 perfectly. The magnets on the bottom are strong enough that they don’t open accidentally. I have the Thumbs Up thumb rest and there are no issues with it. I liked the quality so much that I was going to buy a case from Artisan for my M10-R but then I was looking on eBay and the same pictures on the Etsy site were showing up on some eBay listings but for half the cost. I took a chance on an eBay listing for the M10-R and the quality seems to be the same as the case from Etsy. Here is a very similar eBay listing for the Q2 but not the same selller that I bought from, I checked his site and he doesn’t list this style of case for the Q2. I’m very happy with the case from Etsy but I am guessing it and the eBay one are both made at the same place in China.
