X2D + 38mm as only camera/lens?

I agree, unfortunately, that so far precisely none of the X2D images I’ve seen from any tester (so the person who posted here doesn’t feel criticized) on multiple forums have had a “wow” factor for me. I’m not sure how to understand that. I’ve seen many images from the GFX that had the wow factor, and many from FF sensors that did the same. 
What systems have you seen images from that have bowled you over? Really curious what has had that effect on you.

In my case, some shots from a few Sony FF bodies with the Sony 35 GM and the Sigma 85 DF DN that have really impressed. I’ve liked a number of shots I’ve seen from the Leica SL-2 and SL2-S both with M and SL glass. Some images with the M series and the 50 Lux, 35 Lux, and 35 APO that have really knocked my socks off. And I’ve seen a bunch from the GFX 100S with both native and adapted glass that really blew me away. Curious where you have been impressed!
