Sold my X-H1 and XF 100-400 for something better.

Hello guys,

Last month I purchased the X-H2s and XF 150-600. I have now tested this combination extensively and would like to share my experiences.

1. The X-H2s is a major upgrade from my old X-H1. The difference in AF is huge, both with regards to speed and accuracy. I photographed people walking around in a dimly lit church and even with the 56/1.2 the focus was spot on! I also tested the 150-600 at a soccer match with fantastic results. In addition, I love the ergonomics and the quality of the LCD display and viewfinder. What I don't like is that they have removed the clickable wheels/dials,

2. The XF 150-600 is a fantastic lens, but In terms of sharpness I don't see much difference to the XF 100-400 at 150-300mm. From 300mm and beyond however, the XF 150-600 is noticeably sharper. The bokeh is also a bit nicer. With regards to AF speed the 150-600 is faster and more accurate than the XF-100-400 (both mounted on the X-H2s). The difference between XF 100-400 + TC 1.4X and XF 150-600 is as expected,... (huge!).

Have a nice weekend!
