Hello Martianphoto,

Thought about the B36 while enjoying your shots of the B29.  Having lived in Northamptonshire during World War Two I saw lots of B17s and Liberators flying to or from Germany.

But never a B29 - no need for its operational range in Western Europe.

Did see - maybe about 1955 -  a lone B36 fly overhead. Quite unmistakeable - the wings with six reversed propellors and four jet engines  pushing! Is there a B36 that can still fly?

I think each prop had two engines. Sixteen engines on one plane is probably a World  record. Maybe not even Howard Hughes' gigantic flying boat came anywhere close , A.
