I think it's going to be very hard to eliminate the music completely. Long shotguns like the 416 will definitely help.

What you can also do is get some airplane sounds when the music is not playing and analyze the frequencies present using the Plot Spectrum function in Audacity. You could then EQ away the other frequencies that aren't present and that will also reduce more of the music. Maybe the sound of the airplane will be loud enough so that EQ with the relative difference will make the music almost inaudible?
