Opinions on Using Both X and GFX Systems?
1

My only camera system is Fujifilm X mount, which, as a hobbyist, I have used successfully for a variety of photography: street, portrait, landscape, small product, concerts, sports, and wildlife. I have been satisfied with the overall experience, and my most advanced camera is an X-T3.

I recently came upon an opportunity to acquire a couple of brand-new GFX mount lenses at a steep discount, which is tempting me to consider supplementing my X mount gear with a GFX 100s and GF lenses. If I went with GFX, I think I would probably use the system for landscapes, cityscapes, product photography, and portraits. The X mount gear would be used mainly for street, sports, wildlife, concerts, and everyday carry. Most of my photos stay in the digital domain, but I would like to start printing, and perhaps selling, hardcopy photographs in the next couple of years.

I would like to get feedback, from those who work with both systems, about the benefits and detriments of maintaining both X mount and GFX mount systems. Also, if you could only keep one system, which would you prefer?

I have asked for, and received, some guidance from members of the medium format forum, but I think many of the users there are deeply entrenched in medium format solutions and don't necessarily have deep experience using X mount.

ANSWER:
