In the 2000s, there was a much greater choice of cameras and types of sensors.
The changes were daily, everything had to be invented. New cameras appeared every week...

Today, the photographic industry is in difficulty, the compact market has almost disappeared.
The very good ML cameras are at ridiculous prices, see prices for Nikon D9, Canon EOS R3, Leica M-11, Hasselblad X2D, etc.
The Sensors are almost all identical "with an overly digital rendering" and nothing really evolves for more than 12 years
