Hey, new member here. Sorry if this has been answered previously.
I am the proud owner of an X100v. Love it more than my wife! Anyway.... I love using the film Sims, and recipes. As a result I've only been shooting in JPEG, and not done any real PP. However, I've been missing doing PP. So I decided to switch to RAW+JPEG when shooting so if I fancied, I could edit the raw in a different way to the JPEG.
However, When I imported both files into Capture One, I noticed the RAW file had the film sim process added to it, making it a chore to PP. I assumed that when imported, the JPEG would have the film sim, and the RAW would have a flat, standard profile with no edits or adjustments .... Am I doing something wrong, or is this just the way it is???
In C1 go to Base Characteristics. The film sim is in the drop list labeled Curve. Select Linear response and you're on your own. You can save a base set of adjustments as a Style and apply it to new photos.
