I did not speak to what Canon might know. I said that when they design their own products the spend no time worrying about how their design decisions might affect third party products. They ignore that. As they should.

So in your mind it was nothing more than a crazy coincidence that Canon's new flash emitted disruptive RF interference that was exactly on top of the frequency of a remote flash controller that thousands of Canon photographers were using.

Not crazy.

People who use third party gadgetry expecting the first party to look out for that stuff may be mistaken, though.
