Isn't it weird that there's no "nifty fifty" for EOS M?

All other Canon cameras have a nifty fifty in their lens lineup, but not EOS M. Is it because they think us crop sensor users don't want that focal length (80mm equivalent)? If so, why not? It's a great portrait focal length!

I know we have the 32mm f/1.4 and it's fantastic, but the true nifty fifty (adapted) just gives you more of that creamy background because you're more zoomed in.

I realize Sigma also has a 56mm f/1.4, but I'm talking strictly from Canon first party.

Thoughts?
