Yes that's right, the route is a long and complex because it's on twisty back roads so I think it would be quite time consuming to try and draw it out.

I use DaVinci Resolve for this kind of thing. It's quite easy in Fusion with a Paint node to create a polyline just by repeatedly clicking on each bend in the route. Then you create a start keyframe with a "Write On" property of 0 and an end keyframe with "Write On" of 1.0 and the line will draw itself from the start to the end.

You can get fancier and add animated and labeled waypoints using titles and other tools.  (Click on "View Original Size" to see the animation):
