I was trying it out and the light was not good,

Yes I generally stay away from high iSO, but that in the UK pretty well precludes taking any pictures at all.High ISO does destroy detail but does not affect if a image is in focus or not. Yes I do manual, but find Auto ISO very useful in very quickly varying light, like we have in the UK

very interesting. i have used up to iso 6400 on my 1Dx with no problem, photos produced are more than unacceptable. high iso of 3200 is the limit on my 1dmk4, anything more than that, the noise is not acceptable. my 5DsR is great, i did a wedding with no flash and it turned out very good.

sharp photos also depends on lens IQ. when i use my zeiss 100 f2 distagon, the sharpness is out of this world. and that applies to most of my  EF "L" lenses. i leave all of the perimeters in my cameras to zero, which makes PP easier as far as adding sharpness, contrast and so on. your issue with sharpness is probably  caused by camera setting or lens issues, i am just guessing here. i'd trouble shoot to find out what really is causing this issue. thanks goodness i never had issue with my 5 cameras, ever since i have been purchasing canon cameras. if there had been a sharpness issue, it was my own, personally. so i hope get to the bottom of this issue soon

best.
