As the Zeiss article says, a lens isn't apochromatic just by using special glass types. It is the result that defines a lens apochromatic or not, and if that result in practical use is lack of chromatic aberrations (at the point of focus), then it is an apochromatic lens.

Note that all diagrams and theoretical explanations talk about one, two and three lens elements. Today, even the most basic lens designs have more; many have more than ten lens elements.
