well the pyramidal setup is just a setup, trying to visually see and understand the options of the diagonal tilt - in a controlled grid.

For real photos I utilize the diagonal directions for atmospheric and creatively selective focus. Controlling these aspects both aesthetically and technically ain't easy - but to me very interesting.

In a classical view camera, where diagonal tilt is made by a combination of swing and tilt, all the diagonal focus planes are available in conjunction with both vertical and horizontal shift.

But then again.. you can't carry a view camera around your neck, with the option for hand hold shots on the go
