Given that a TT350-F costs $85 and a Fuji EF-60 (aka Nissin i60A) is $400, I would say it's definitely quality control. Most Godox copies are solid, but copy consistency isn't going to be as good as with most OEM gear.

Godox's lower price tags gotta come from somewhere, and to me it's pretty clear that like most low-cost Chinese gear, it's the absence of customer/warranty support, factory repair, and probably less QA & testing both in development and in manufacture, as well as sourcing parts from suppliers who probably do the same that brings the pricetags down so far.

Going with a cheaper Chinese brand of flash gear can mean going into a copy lottery. The odds are still pretty good, but the occasional lemon copy is going to be more common.
