I really wanted to have a look at sample shots but these are stunningly bad - but I know that this is not the cameras fault but rather the harsh reality that for subjects like yours stacks simply do not work and helicon focus is only making matters worse because it doesn‘t exclude shots with obvious aspect changes. Every area where one detail of the insect overlaps another there inevitably is a hazy unsharp halo around the element closer to the camera that . The only way around that is not to stack and see to it that you get the important areas of the insect into proper focus. If I should decide to get the camera the one thing I will never ever enable is the focus backeting - at least not for focus stacking…
