Nothing else that wide. There's the Sigma 16mm f1.4, and that's about it.

I have the Laowa 9mm f2.8, which is all-manual, but it's trivially easy to use - hardly needs focusing, but with focus peaking set up, it's dead easy to be sure. The 12mm should be similar.

I saw the sigma 16mm but I have the ef-m 18-55mm, so not really something I want. But thank you for the recommendation.

the difference between 16 f/1.4 and 18 f/3.5 is much bigger than you think.

Absolutely. And the IQ of the 16 is much better, too.
Took me a long time to get it, because of the size - but well worth it.

I'm looking for ultra wide angle and I also saw that laowa 9mm too but Samyang/rokinon 12mm has the best less distortion lens I have seen in samples. Just really that no autofocus giving me doubts. But both replies here say it's a non-issue, I might give it a try.

Thank you for the reply.

Hi and also to @KEG, my original goal was to get an ultra wide angle lens.

Let me tell you the background I am coming from, so I have a GoPro 9 with max lens mod (FF equivalent 14mm). I also have smartphones with so called 0.5x wide angle (probably also below 18mm FF equivalent).

I have heard great reviews about the sigma 16mm but due to this

"16mm (35mm Equivalent Focal Length: 25.6mm)"

It's not ultra wide angle enough for me.

This really leaves me with the rokinon 12mm and ef-m 11-22mm (without it going to fisheye effect), and so far I think I'll go with the ef-m 11-22mm due to autofocus and ability to save exif data, what I've read is rokinon 12mm doesn't even save exif data.

From the replies I get manual focus isn't an issue at wider lenses but really if I can get auto (it's more a peace of mind thing) cause let's be real, these lenses aren't cheap, quite an investment.

Edit: I forgot to mention there's also the Canon EF-S 10-18mm

As others have mentioned, the EF-M 11-22 is much sharper, smaller, and lighter than the EF-S 10-18. I used both and sold the 10-18 quickly after getting the 11-22. The 11-22 is a great lens, almost always in my camera bag as I shoot a lot of wide stuff. With IS and AF it's an ideal lens for daytime shooting if you like ultrawide.

The 11-22 was the second EF-M I bought, I have thankfully never gotten the insane idea to try to sell it.

The EF-M 11-22 is in stock refurb at the moment with a 1-year Canon warranty. At $319 it's a great deal. It is often not in stock. It is almost this much used.
