I kinda like to take extra shots when photographing people talking because faces sometimes become on and off less flattering when people are talking in still shots.

Yes, I always do that too. But I'm looking for interesting shots more than flattering. I'm not selling these shots to the people in them, but I'm happy for them to use them on their websites if they want to (which some of them do).

Right ? Taking extra shots while people are speaking can sometimes get very interesting facial expressions.

R2 says he always does bursts ?

Yessir.  You are so right.  Someone is always blinking or yawning, or picking their nose!  Multiply that times the number of people in the shot and you’ve gotta shoot that burst.  I like to do short bursts of 3-4 frames @ say 7 fps generally (although with the R5 you’re stuck at 20 fps in eShutter).  Events are an entirely different animal than posed shooting.

Funny thing.  For posed shooting I prefer mechanical shutter (generally EFCS) so that the model/subjects can cue off the shutter sound.  It’s much easier working that way.
