Re: LR Alternatives for Fuji

I used Lightroom for years and when my old computer died and I couldn’t buy a non-subscription version of Lightroom, I evaluated a few RAW editors and settled on C1.

C1’s image quality, color editing and rendering is excellent as many have stated. The sticking point is I shot with RAW+JPG and the versions of C1 I used didn’t treat them as one image. It was tricky when selecting photos. However after using C1 for a while I finally trusted their rendering enough to stop saving an associated JPG with each RAW file. After that, photo selection and rating became much smoother in C1.

As for tools, I found it took a little while to pick up and now find it more intuitive than Lightroom.

If you aren’t buying a new camera every year, you probably don’t need a new RAW editor every year. Having what is arguably top quality images from Fuji files and not having to pay a subscription every month is attractive.
