You know, it's been awhile since I used the M6 and yes, although the M6 is made of plastic also, it feels very solid - very, very solid. I'd say that if you were to include the X-A5 or X-A7, the entry level Fuji's have as slightly more plasticky feel to them, but they do handle well. As you can tell, I've kept the M6 (I have the earlier version - not the Mk II) because it does have a nice quality feel to it. But if you're looking for a feeling of solidity, I'd have to give it to the M6, that's for sure.

As far as a button-wise comparison, I'd have to go back and check and get back to you on this. I've become so accustomed to using Fuji products anymore that I've basically ignored everything else for a while.

In getting back to the EOS-M system in general, I'm a bit peeved at Canon since they dropped the system and adopted the RF system. Even from the very beginning of the EOS M system, Canon was very reluctant to release a bunch of lenses for the system. So after licking my wounds after the Samsung fiasco, I'm not too keen with Canon right now, but keeping the M, M2 and M6 were a given, considering their nice IQ and quality feel in the hand.

Thank you Ben. Awaiting your reply. No rush. I’d say that the eos m system covers the basics today. It was never meant to include fast zoom lenses as it was made as a light and compact system. That is its quality. RF crop sensor cameras are being made with beefier grips. It doesn’t seem they’ll reach the level of portability of eos m. The lens mount is already larger. I located locally a pristine X-A10 for sale with kit lens. I might very well go check it out for myself.

No perfect gear out there. Just be happy with what you have and go shoot.
