Which camera for safari?

Hello,

I'm going on a safari honeymoon next month and have been researching which camera would be best to take with. I have a Canon 400D with kit lens, and initially thought I'd just get a new lens (70-300mm) but on second thoughts decided that was too big/too heavy and don't want to be swapping lenses while missing the action.

From reading these forums and a fair bit of Googling, I narrowed it down to a Nikon Coolpix B700 or P900, Canon Powershot SX60 and Panasonic Lumix FX330. However I'm struggling to narrow it down, especially given my budget is £250-300.

Beyond the safari, I'd be using it for general travel photos, gigs and food photography so decent performance in low light and a good depth of field would also be preferable.

Can anyone advise which would be best, or suggest an alternative please? I feel like I'm going round in circles!
