RX100M6 and DxO Volume Deformation Correction

Just playing with DxO Photolab5 with an RX100M6 wide angle shot and how Volume Deformation in DxO Viewpoint works.

Two images, both downsized to 2000 wide as detail not important except to see how it effects edges and any faces at the edge.

View both original and flip between the two to see how the correction works.

Default conversion plus Clearview

Above but with Volume Deformation correction from DxO Viewpoint.

The correction does get extra in the frame but at the expense of dragging some of that nasty vignetting back into the corners. It would need of course a crop to get rid of those dark corners. Faces bottom right get a more natural shape.

The scene is Singapore nightly satay stalls where they close off Boon Tat Street next to the Lau Pa Sat food market at 7pm and set up. Happy days in 2019 as we stayed at an apartment a short walk away on Shenton Way.
