Ok, so I am a bit confused on how exactly that would work.  A pentaprism/pentamirror works off of the reflex mirror reflecting the image to the tunnel in a nutshell.  A rangefinder is just a piece of glass showing you what the image will be.  However, an evf is going to be a readout of the sensor.  How would that work with film?  It cannot read off of the slide of film.
