Viltrox 24mm F1.8 - Returned

I ordered the Viltrox 24mm F1.8 because I wanted a light wide angle and I like that range.

Most everything was okay with the lens. Corner sharpness at F1.8 is nothing that I need, and the vignette can be fixed or does not hurt. Bokeh at night is bad in almost any cheap lens I had so far. This is no exception. But that Is also not my concern.

The reason for the return is the distortion in the corners. The lens correction with the camera profile fixes everything besides the extreme corners where the lines bend heavily. This hurts me even if the lines are in the background and blurry. I had to crop to get rid of the curves.

The lens feels like a 28mm stretched to cover 24mm. That explains the distortion, the corner blurriness and the vignette. But then I prefer the cheap Nikon 28mm because it can focus closer (19cm vs 30cm), and is much lighter as a walk around lens.

QUESTION:

My question to the community is if the distortion can be fixed easily and completely in Lightroom.
