The versatile Olympus 100-400

The Olympus 100-400 really is a versatile lens. I enjoy using it on my EM-1 II; its flexibility for objects near and far is amazing.

Here some shots from two recent evening walks to illustrate this point:

#1: A juvenile jackdaw hiding in a tree

#2: A dove starting from a powerline (composite, a MC20 was added here to the 100-400)

#3: A robber fly with its prey

#4: Another robber fly resting

#5: Interesting combination of a high voltage pylon, a plane and the moon at early dusk

#6: Sundown pic - note how the warm air produces fuzzy edges at the distant powerline and the windmill

#7: Moon at later dusk, showing more detail than #5.

Of course some cropping was involved here, but all the same, a lens with many possibilities, I think.
