Thanks. I'll take a look at that site.

Part of my problem in seeing issues in the image is that I haven't fully come to terms yet with the fact that I need glasses :). At least that's a simple problem to fix.

Some of what you are talking about is ringing a bell for me. I have barely touched any real cameras in the last few years and all that technique has gone dormant in my brain. One thing I didn't really learn much about though was printing with inkjets. I never had much cause to make my own prints when I switched to digital. I probably have the biggest holes in my knowledge around that subject, so I'm putting some focus on filling those gaps.
