The GR has two trump cards: its pocketability and its ability to shoot covertly from the hip. If either of those matter to you then the GR is a compelling option. The dust issue is real, but the process of gaining access to the sensor and cleaning it is actually quite straightforward—it’s an order of magnitude easier than most fixed lens cameras. (At least, that was true of my GR mk 1.)

Other than those key benefits, I prefer the X100V personally, but I wouldn’t want to be without a GR-style camera for street hip shots. I still have my GR Digital II and an XF10.

If that’s something that you have a continued use for, but you want to reclaim some cash, then maybe one compromise is to sell the GR and pick up one of the small-sensor GR Digitals. That should allow you to recoup 60-70% of the value of the GR, but still keep something similar. There are those who prefer the small sensors for street, anyway…

Then again, another compromise would be to trade the X100V for an X100S or similar; again you’d recover 60-70% of the value but still have something that performed the same role.
