What do you use a EF-M 32mm for?

The 32mm is a 51mm equivalent in FF, whereas the 28 mm equates to just short of 45mm.

Now, everybody loves 50mm because our photographic gaze has been overexposed to it over the years, on account of how optically simple and, consequently, cheap they are to manufacture.

However, the "natural" look for the human vision in these range of FL is 45mm, not 50mm.

If you don't believe me just google "50mm photos" and then "45mm photos" images.

Although you'll have much less hits from the 45mm search, just pay attention to the portraits and notice how the small increase in "air" in the compositions gives them a much more natural look.

This said, to me, the choice is obvious: Go with the 28mm, gain this advantage and add macro and ring light to boot.
