I was out shooting yesterday for a few hours and on 3 different occasions my thumb accidently pushed the red "Video Record" button on camera back. The camera was in Aperture Priority mode the entire time. I didn't notice it until returning home and discovered 3 short video clips on my SD card.

Is there any way to disable this button or reassign it to another function? I checked the Owner's Manual but cannot find anything. Thanks.

In the Custom Function menu you can reassign this button's function. Or just remove the function from it.

Go to:

Menu -> Custom Functions ("C.Fn", second top menu from right to left) -> C.Fn III: Operation/Others and there the second menu is Customize buttons

Thank you, really appreciate it!
