Re: Godox flash head recommendation, please.

Im going to add this for some macro shooters RE Godox TT600

I switched from Yongnuo to Godox about a year ago. Mostly so I could have a coherent system that works with the xplor600. I dont use the xplor for macro obviously, but I use speedlights along with the strobe for portraits. It all works great and seemlessly for that use.

However, I made an observation yesterday and may keep a couple YN560s if it proves correct after more thorough testing. Lately Ive been increasing ISO a tad just so I can bring down flash power and shoot in bursts. I do this for handheld stacks where I burst while slowly leaning into the subject to bring the focus from front to back. This does not work for either speedlight with the R7 and "H"igh burst rate, of course. But in regular speed at 1/16 power it does...to a degree. I know I can get an external battery pack for it to work better, but I have not yet done this. My initial thoughts is that I get much less black frames with the Yongnuo. I get almost no black frames over like 20 shots with how I do it. I got a lot of black frames with the Godox.

This may ultimately prove to not matter as I will be experimenting with constant light (led panels) so I can use the H+ electronic shutter. Some people are doing it, but Im skeptical about creating the quality of light I want. We shall see.

Other than that Ive found the TT600s to be perfectly fine for my uses. Great value and reliable.
