Tamron 18-300mm worth it over the Sony 18-135mm for travel?

Heading to Sweden and Norway in a couple of weeks for the first time and I'm going through my lenses to work out which one's to take. I had originally decided on the Tamron 11-20mm and my trusty Sony 18-135mm. Nice and lightweight setup in my new Lowepro Fastpack BP 250 AW III.

However, I was looking at the website of a local camera store and noticed that the Tamron 18-300mm lens (and also the Sigma 18-50mm) on special (A$980); I can also get money off duty free.

Is the extra reach and weather sealing of the Tamron worth it over its obvious size, weight, extra cost and the Sony 18-135mm that I already own?

I will be going to some places where the reach could come in handy, cruise in Norway, scenic lookout and train trips. At some stage I'll be selling my Sigma 16mm & 30mm and if I get the Tamron 18-300mm, I may also sell the 17-70mm and get the Sigma 18-50mm instead...

Thoughts appreciated.
