Late winter, early spring in the nearby bush area
27

Despite cold conditions (for this spoilt soft West Australian) and above average July/August rainfall the daylight hours are lengthening, flowers are emerging and birds are collecting nesting material.

Swan preening

Australian Shelduck young

Female Splendid Fairy-wren

Singing Honeyeater

Brown Honeyeater, small but with a very shrill, almost piercing, call

White White-cheeked Honeyeater hanging off parrot bush

Western Gerygone.  A delightful small bird with a beautiful song
