Video camera choice

Over the years, I've used a variety of camcorders, but I note that many people are now using "still cameras" in a video / cine mode.  I've tried that briefly with one or two of my essentially still camera bodies, and I still prefer using a camcorder - either a Canon Vixia / Legria HF G30 or an amateur level Panasonic - various types e.g HC-VX980 & similar.  For the Canon I have dedicated microphones, and I find their implementation of the 3 second shutter pre-release feature much better implemented than the similar on the (amateur) Panasonic bodies that I have.  (I shoot in Full HD, not 4K as my TV is limited to Full HD.)  I do some editing using whatever came with Windows - more advanced editors are too much for my PC's little brain!

Any comments?
